About this print
A pink bow where you least expect one. Banksy's Happy Choppers interrupts a military scene with an almost childlike flourish, turning a helicopter against clear blue sky into a sharp visual surprise. The smaller aircraft following behind make the leading helicopter's unlikely decoration even harder to overlook.
The image plays with the difference between appearance and purpose. A bow is an easy symbol of friendliness, yet it changes nothing about the machine beneath it. Pale clouds and clean colour blocks give this pointed contrast an almost storybook setting.
The blue background makes the print visually bright despite its uneasy subject. It would suit a contemporary study or living room where you want a piece with humour and an edge. Pair it with simple black or white frames and let the pink detail remain a small surprise within the wider arrangement.
