About this print
Make a confident statement with just a few well-chosen shapes. A striped blue circle, a pale upper field and a solid blue base give this Bauhaus-style print its crisp graphic appeal. There is a satisfying balance between the moving lines and the stillness of the larger colour blocks.
The narrow stripes give the circle a different texture from the flat background beneath it. As the shapes overlap, the eye shifts between seeing one complete disc and separate areas of pattern. It is a restrained design with a small optical puzzle at its centre.
Use it in a study or living room with clean-lined furniture, blue textiles or pale wood. It can bring structure to a group of looser drawings and photographs. The exhibition-style wording is part of the poster design, while the geometry is what gives it a clear contemporary presence.
