About this print
A flash of green, a sudden change of attitude. Banksy's Turf War interrupts a stern, formal portrait with a vivid mohawk, turning an image of authority into an irreverent visual joke. That small burst of colour gives the otherwise restrained composition its rebellious energy.
The joke is economical: almost everything is monochrome, so the hair becomes impossible to ignore. The direct gaze and sober clothing remain, creating a tension between the familiar portrait and its unexpected addition.
It is a strong choice for a study, hallway or gallery wall that could use a little irreverence. The green can connect with plants or a single accent colour, while the black-and-white portrait sits easily among photographs. Keep the frame simple and allow some space around the head so that the altered silhouette reads clearly.
