About this print
Take the long way through the Alps. This PLM Route des Alpes poster follows an open touring vehicle through a colourful mountain landscape, with flowers filling the foreground and a winding road ahead. It captures the appeal of a journey where the view is every bit as rewarding as the destination.
The image makes the journey part of the attraction. The small figures invite you to imagine the view from the road, and the route gives the poster a map-like layer of detail. Deep blue-green scenery, bright flowers and warm accents create a landscape that feels both expansive and full of incident.
It is a fitting print for someone who enjoys road trips, mountain holidays or the design of old travel advertisements. Hang it in a study or living room, ideally at a size that lets the route and the travellers remain visible alongside the wider scenery.
